Certified Co-occurring Disorder Professional

Our certified Co-occurring Disorders Professional provides assessment and counseling to persons with co-occurring mental and substance use disorders, along with when appropriate to family and significant others. They possess the knowledge and skills specific to both mental and substance use disorders, as well as to the interactions among the disorders.

Certified Prevention Specialist

The goal of substance abuse prevention is the fostering of a climate in which

  • alcohol use is acceptable only for those of legal age and only when the risk of adverse consequences is minimal;
  • prescription and over-the-counter drugs are used only for the purposes for which they were intended;
  • other abusable substances, e.g., aerosols, are used only for their intended purposes;
  • illegal drugs and tobacco are not used at all

HIV/AIDS

Educational Presentation: What is the difference between HIV and AIDS, Stages of the Virus, Transmission, Prevention Methods and Statistics.

Counseling/Testing

Coordinated test schedules, evaluated and summarized test results, strategize, assess, and recommended the course of action with regards to outreach, treatment and education for clients.

Define target audiences and adapt messages to communicate appropriately with specific populations via the use of a variety of communication media including presentations and written articles.
